Salvia ‘Dappled Delight’ is a small shrub similar to ‘Baby Sage’, but with pink flowers.

Flowers: are a small microphylla type flower with a small hood and large fanned out bottom lobes.
The 2 side lobes are small and tucked in beside the large middle lobe, which may be slightly split.
A prominent white beeline can be seen around the throat area. The large middle lobe allows bees and other pollinating insects land and  move to enter the throat to find that nectar.
Flowers are in small clusters at the top of the stem, well above the foliage to attract passing insects.
Flowering begins in early spring , continuing through summer, into autumn and possibly winter, providing a very long flowering period.

Calyces: are small and green, with each lobe being ribbed. These will fall off if the flowers are not pollinated.

Leaves: are small, mid green, oval to lanceolate. The mid vein and other small veins can be seen with small notches around the edges.
Each stem is well clothed with leaves, from the bottom to the flower stems.
