Welcome to another fantastic year for growing Salvias.
As always we have the major Gardening Events, lovely private gardens and other interesting places to visit. So please come and join us on our journey throughout 2025.
Send me your Salvias and plants to identify, place your orders early and enjoy the colour and the wonder of Salvias within your garden.
What's coming in 2025
November's Garden Visit
Helen Smith's Garden Visit
When: Sunday 30th November at 11am. Where: 286 Mahars (Mahers) Rd, Bungaree
This is a beautiful garden full of interesting plants. Although fairly young, Helen has managed to fill her garden with a huge array of plants that are hardy, tough and full of colour.
Please contact Lyndi if coming. Ph 98034534. Only courteous to let Helen know numbers of people likely to come
Bring a plate to share and a chair and your camera for some beautiful shots.
If interested and staying in the area, after visiting Helen’s garden, the Springfest Market Day is on until late in Ballarat at the Botanic Gardens .
AGM & Christmas Lunch
When: Sunday, December 7th, 11am, AGM at 12 noon.
Where: 36 – 38 ‘The Eyrie’/ 3 The Panorama / Outlook, Eaglemont.

Come and wander around Jane’s garden, enjoy the wonderful views, not forgetting to visit the plant treasure table for swapping and plant donations for others.
Admire Jane’s beautiful historical Federation style home. Then inside, admire Jane’s artwork, the views from the windows, her concert room for our AGM, all while sipping a cuppa.
After the AGM, we can indulge in our Christmas feast and wander around the garden again, thanking Jane for her kind hospitality

Garden Visit to Maureen Scoble's no fuss garden
When: Sun 15th February Time: 11am
Where: 8 Riverview St, Avondale heights
A brilliant no fuss garden with gravel paths and no lawn. So much to see around every corner.
Come and wander with a cup of tea/ coffee, identify all the plants in the garden.
Bring a plate to share for lunch and a chair.

What's happening in March
Ferny Creek Collectors and Rare Plant Sale
When: March Sat 7th & Sun 8th . Time: 10-4pm
Where: 100 Hilton Rd, Sassafras
Come and see the new season’s Salvias. All bright new colours to match and contrast everything growing in your garden.
Garden Visit to Lyn Cannard
When: Sat 22nd March
Where: 620 Dickens Rd, Freshwater Creek – Geelong. Time: 11am
Cottage Farm Perennials at 1.30pm for lunch ( Bring a plate to share)
Wander around Chris Tournier’s nusery and garden
Where: 1985 Barrabool Rd, Gnarwarre – Geelong
Enjoy Chris’s garden, with so many interesting plants to find and identify.
Visit her nursery and purchase that special plant you’ve been wanting.

Visit Vicki and Peter Boileau's Garden
A lovely suburban garden nestled into a leafy area with unusual and rare natives in the front and a wonderful collection of unusual exotics along the side and back garden.
So restful and intriguing and inviting.
